Part 2 – Driving Ability Test

The Part 2 examination is a test of your ability to drive at a very high standard. It takes approximately 1 hour and you are allowed only three attempts at this examination which consists of:

• Eyesight test
• Five vehicle safety questions
• All five manoeuvres: 
  • Reverse left into a limited opening
  • Reverse right into a limited opening
  • Turn in the road
  • Reverse Parking (either on the road or into a parking bay)
  • Controlled stop
• Motorway/dual carriageway driving
• Urban driving
• Rural driving
• Driving in heavy or fast moving traffic
