Part 3 – Ability to Instruct

The objective of the test is to assess the quality of your instruction and your ability to pass your knowledge onto pupils.

You need to have passed Parts 1 and 2 before you can attempt the Part 3 examination

• Lasts approximately 1 hour
• The Supervising Examiner will use role play of two pupils with different levels of ability
  
  
  • Novice or partly trained pupil
  • Pupil at test standard
  • Qualified driver undertaking driver development training

The average training required in preparation of your Part 3 examination is 40 hours.
