QUALIFICATION PROCESS
Pre-requisites – You must:
- be over 21
- have held a Full Driving Licence for a minimum of 3 years

How Long Does It Take To Qualify?
We structure your training around your rate of progress and availability. So if you are looking to start as a Trainee Instructor you could be working in as little as 4 months, and we would aim to have you fully qualified within 12 months.
What tests do you have to pass?
There are three government examinations that you must pass in order to become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). You will be thoroughly prepared for the examinations, which interlink driving knowledge and instructional ability, building upon one another. We will provide all the training materials to prepare you for the examinations together with all the necessary tutor support.
Can I teach whilst I am training?
A Trainee Licence allows you to teach pupils while you are still training and is valid for 6 months. The licence is a valuable learning tool to help you pass the Part 3 examination.
